Head climbing coach, athlete, and performance coach committed to turning ambitious goals into clear, sustainable training.

Head climbing coach · Athlete · Performance coach

Christian has spent more than 15 years climbing and over a decade coaching athletes. As the company-wide Head Coach for Sender One’s youth competition program, he develops training systems across U11–U20, mentors coaches, and prepares athletes for USA Climbing competition from the local level through Youth Nationals.

His teams have earned first-place Regional finishes and the first Lead/Top Rope Divisionals team championship banner in Sender One history. He has guided young climbers from their first competitive season to the national stage while building the physical skills, decision-making, resilience, and independence needed for long-term development.

Alongside his youth-team work, Christian has coached hundreds of adult climbers in person and remotely—from beginners building a foundation to Elite Series athletes preparing for high-level competition. He helps each climber turn ambitious goals into practical training, clear feedback, and sustainable progress.

Christian has climbed up to 5.14d, bouldered through V12, and established first ascents up to 5.13d—including Eye Candy. That experience with long-term projecting and high-level outdoor performance shapes a coaching approach grounded in honest priorities, purposeful training, and plans that adapt to the athlete.

The goal isn’t to win training. It’s to arrive prepared for the climbing that matters.
